Lucceus Luxama

Luccéus Luxama (Alias Nérissant ou Mèt Né) a vu le jour le 12 Décembre 1949  Sur L’habitation de Latapi, Grande Saline, Haïti. Il était fils du feu Charles Luccéus Luxama  et de la feue Syliana Recillien. Il a commencé  ses études dans cette  même localité avant de reprendre les activités  commerciales de son père dans l’exploitation agricole de la culture rizière à grande échelle.

Issu d’une grande famille de nombreux enfants. Ses Frères :  Oreste Mérat,  Joseph Charles Luxéus (décédé), Pyrham Luxama (décédé), Charles  Luxama (décédé), Luxé Luxama (décédé), et André Luccéus.

Ses Sœurs : Clériphane Mérat, Marie-Sil Luxama, Sainte Vierge Luxéus, Nonla Luxéus, Marguerite Luxéus

En Juillet 1969, il épousa l’amour de sa vie Inocia Luxama Née Benoit. Une union qui a duré 54 ans  dans les bons et les mauvais jours, dans la santé et dans la maladie jusqu’à ce que la mort les sépare. Père aimant et responsable de 8 enfants, Vaudral Luxama, Vody Elaine Vincent (née Luxama), Guénia Luxama ( décédée),  Donald Luxama, Luxon Luxama, Nelson Luxama, Judith Mérat (Née Luxama), Chrismarc Luxama.

 En Haïti, il travailla avec sa femme dans la création des richesses, dans l’agriculture, le commerce, l’entreprenariat pour subvenir aux besoins de sa famille et créer des emplois. Le complexe familial abrita  plus d’ une quarantaine d’employés qui travaillaient ses terres.  Il a vécu  pour ses enfants. Souvent il nous dit : « Ti moun yo tout sa map Fè yo se pou nou. »  Sa philosophie était que ses enfants aillent plus loin dans la vie qu’ il y est lui-même allé.

En 1988, Luccéus Luxama immigra aux Etats Unis où il avait travaillé pour  plusieurs compagnies notamment Madan Plastic, VIRA avant de prendre sa retraite en 2011.

Homme Paisible, Respectueux, Intègre et Honnête, il inculqua ses mêmes valeurs à ses enfants. Il respectait tout le monde. Il respectait ses employés et les traitait  avec dignité, respect, et justice. En 2018 après son premier Accident Vasculaire Cérébral (AVC), il a donné sa vie au Seigneur Jésus-Christ. Il fut rétabli par la grâce de Dieu et continua sa vie.  En 2021, il eut un deuxième AVC, une maladie qu’il supporta avec courage jusqu’à son dernier soupir le 31 Mars 2024 entouré de sa femme et de ses enfants.

Luccéus Luxama laisse dans le deuil son épouse de 54 ans  Inocia  Benoit Luxama.

Eulogy of Luccéus Luxama

Luccéus Luxama (Alias Nérissant or Mèt Né) was born on December 12, 1949 in Latapi Grande Saline, Haiti. He was the son of the late Charles Luccéus Luxama and the late Syliana Recillien. He began his studies in this same locality before taking over his father's commercial activities in large-scale rice farming.

Coming from a large family with many children, his brothers: Oreste Mérat, Joseph Charles Luxéus (deceased), Pyrham Luxama (deceased), Charles Luxama (deceased), Luxé Luxama (deceased), and Andre Luccéus.

His sisters: Clériphane Mérat, Marie-Sil Luxama, Sainte Vierge Luxéus, Nonla Luxéus, Marguerite Luxéus.

In July 1969, he married the love of his life Inocia Luxama Née Benoit. A union that lasted 54 years in good times and bad times, in health and in sickness until death separated them. A loving and responsible father of 8 children: Vaudral Luxama, Vody Elaine Vincent (née Luxama), Guénia Luxama (deceased), Donald Luxama, Luxon Luxama, Nelson Luxama, Judith Mérat (née Luxama), Chrismarc Luxama.

 In Haiti, he worked with his wife in wealth creation, agriculture, commerce, entrepreneurship to provide for his family and create jobs. The family complex housed more than forty laborers who worked on his farms. He lived for his children. He often tells us: “Ti moun yo tout sa map Fè yo se pou nou. » His philosophy was that his children go farther in life than he himself went.

In 1988, Luccéus Luxama immigrated to the United States where he worked for several companies including Madan Plastic and VIRA before retiring in 2011.

A peaceful, respectful and honest man, he instilled these same values in his children. He respected everyone. He respected his employees and treated them with dignity, respect, and fairness.  In 2018 after his first stroke, he gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ. He was restored by God's grace and went on with his life. In 2021, he had a second stroke, an illness he had endured with courage until his last breath on March 31, 2024, surrounded by his wife and children.

Luccéus Luxama is survived by his wife of 54 years Inocia Benoit Luxama.
