Andre Gerson Andou passed away on October 3, 2018 at Alaris Health in Cedar Grove, NJ. Andre was affectionately known to his loved ones as “Pappy”. He was born in Hinche, Haiti to Dessex Andou and Bruna Supre’me Andou. Andre served as a Police Officer in Haiti before migrating to the U.S. Upon arriving to the U.S. he worked hard to provide for his family. Andre will be remembered for living a simple life and laughing often. We will always remember his special smile, caring heart and warm embrace. Andre never lacked appreciation of the earth’s beauty or failed to express it. He looked for the best in others and gave the best he had. Andre’s positive spirit and joyful personality will be missed but his legacy will live on with his beloved family. Andre leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Tervenia Dessex Andou; two brothers, Belange Andou, Adolphe Andou; six children, Anderson Andou (Janelle), Gaston Barthelemy, Stephanie Shanklin(Scott), David Barthelemy, Samueluc Andou, Reyna Andou; ten grandchildren, Anthony Andou, Matthew Andou, Reign Marie Andou, Ty Shanklin, Jaylen Shanklin, Aniya Barthelemy, Iris Barthelemy, Gabryal Barthelemy, Cassandra Barthelemy, Symone Barthelemy and a host of nieces, nephews, God-children, loving relatives and friends.
