Andrea Senat-Thevenin

Andrea Senat Thevenin, affectionately called Mama Cherie or Aya by all who knew her was born on March 6, 1927 in Croix des Bouqets, Haiti to Louis Senat and Louise Desulme. She was born the youngest of four girls. She married the love of her life Jean Ludovic Thevenin on September 27, 1947. They raised 8 children together. Sadly, on July 30, 2017 Andrea was called home to be with the Lord.
Mama Cherie was a seamstress and homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family. She loved to cook and was always trying to stuff people with food. She got great joy out of seeing her family sit around the table and eat her meals. She loved making desserts and pastries like douce, cremas, tablet. She was generous with her love and affection, she will be deeply missed. When she lived in Haiti she enjoyed going back to her hometown of La Plaine to visit the people she grew up with. She had a strong faith in Christ and attended church services regularly. She loved music and enjoyed dancing when she was younger.
Andrea leaves behind many people who loved her including her children Marie "Jou Jou" and Yves Desir, Rose Andree and Jonas Alvarez, Marie "Poupette” and Guy Vincent, Jean Ludger "Papi" Thevenin, Ronald and Yvonne Thevenin, Henry "Rooby" Thevenin,Sabine Thevenin,  Anthony and ErlandeThevenin.  Grandchildren Ludovic and Weslene Desir, Yves Desir Jr, Jessica Desir, Kerby Vincent, Riccardo Vincent, Trisha Thevenin, Pascal Thevenin, Bianca Alvarez, Alana Thevenin, Brendon Thevenin, Melissa Thevenin, Fabrice and Sandra Choute, Gary Desir, Kaira Thevenin, Ariel Thevenin, Niya Thevenin. Great-grandchildren Alex Desir, Zara Desir, Gabrielle Desir and Larenz Mitchell.  Mama Cherie also had 3 adopted sons Celome Laurore, Jean Claude Bien Aimé and Nicolas Basette.
She was special to the many people who knew her. Keep her memory alive with good deeds and kind words.
