Crisanne Jackson Obituary

Crisanne Mais, born to Minneth Mais, and Carl Folks, on August 31, 1959, at The Victoria Jubilee hospital in Kingston Jamaica. She was the 7th of 13 children with an extraordinarily extraverted personality. She finished her Primary and Secondary education on the Island of Jamaica, before Migrating to North America at the age of 18 in search of a brighter future.

Her beginning in America was humble, she started out as a baby sitter, which sparked an interest in health and wellness. Soon after Crisanne earned a Certified Nurse Assistant license in the state of New York.

Crisanne in finding herself moved from New York to Philadelphia in 1984 where she met Mr. Jackson and soon after marrying

 him that same year.

Crisanne however had a special love for New York City and migrate back to NY City. She had her greatest accomplishment on November 9 1987 with the birth of her daughter Shquan. Moving to New York unfortunately lead to Crisanne’s divorce.

Crisanne being a single mother sought multiple career paths before settling on Education. Crisanne earned her Master’s Degree in Education and counseling at New York’s CUNY College while working as an Educator in the New York City Public school system.

Crisanne was full of life love and laughter, she met Curtis John in the summer of 1996 and was immediately smitten by him. Crisanne and Shquan open their hearts and her home to Curtis and they became a family from that day till present.

Crisanne was always willing to share her home with family and friends. Crisanne’s home was the point of entry and the building block for many family and friends visiting and relocating to America. Crisanne could be counted on to keep your spirit high no matter the circumstance.
