Welcome to the memorial page for

Elida Kenol Rene

May 20, 1932 ~ May 28, 2017 (age 85) 85 Years Old
Elida Kenol Rene was born May 20, 1932 in Saint Marc, Haiti to the parentage of the late Ersilia Jean-Jules and Cheraza Kenol. At an early age Elida was recognized as the matriarch of her family. Elida desire to take on the supporting role of her family displayed her wonderful spirit and kind heart. Elida loves was defined as the type of love that could awaken the soul, make you reach for more, that could plant a fire within your heart and bring peace to thy mind. Elida was special and her late husband Marc Precois Rene realize how special she was, when he first met Elida and was laid to rest loving her.
In 1998, Elida embarked on a journey to the United States, leaving behind the comfort of her county Haiti. She ventured to the U.S. to join her family. Elida first settled in New Jersey before relocating to Hampton, GA. Elida would talk about her life to anyone willing to listen, always bestowing her knowledge of business, family, religion, and life. Elida was known to many as a hard worker, she took her passion for trade and educated herself in the ways of business. She would become a driven, successful woman in the market of commerce.
Elida love for her family could be defined as remarkable and immeasurable. Sometimes parents don’t make their feelings clear, they at times assume that their children know the depth of their love. When emotions are left unclear, it can lead to needless doubt and harden insecurities. Elida made sure that her family, her children, and her grandchildren never felt that. Eilida would wipe away any insecurities through positive and constant reminders of how much she loved her family. Constantly telling her family, how they were the greatest thing in her life.  Elida love didn’t end with her family, Elida would help anyone in need, she would always say that one of the greatest gifts you can bestow is kindness. If someone is in need, lend them a helping hand, don’t wait for a thank you. True kindness lies with the act of given without the expectation of something in return.
Elida would shine her light upon the world by living through the word. Elida was an active member of Jesus Christ Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Job Louis-Pierre and the church of Philadephia French Speaking Baptist church under the leadership of Pastor Elvita Castor.  She then became a member of Ebenezer Haitian Community Church under the leadership of Pastor Rochenet Saget, her (son-in-law). Elida’s mantra was Faith is seeing light with your heart, when all your eyes sees is darkness. Deuteronomy 4:29 – “But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul”
Elida was called home to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at the age of 85. She died peacefully in the presence of her loved ones within our place of residence. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her seven children and grandchildren: 1- Esperanta Fileus  – Ernst, David, Dario, Jean Bertrand, Cecile, Dieutel, Jackie, Frantz, Linda 2- Jeanette Saget (Rochenet) – Emmanuel, Rousseline, Rochena, Natacha, Darlen, Darlene 3- Mervilus Rene (Florine) – Merlande, Chelda, Welda, Danise, Dieuna, Barthelmy, Wesly 4- Chrisla (Guerdy) – Medjida, Christopher, Woody 5- Precieuse (Verdieu) - Verdieu Jr., Verson, Christina 6- Rochener (Charmintine) - Carlos, Marc Precois, Job, Rosena, Cardonel 7- Ronald – Christiani, Harold, a host of great grandchildren, family and friends who were blessed to have met Elida during her lifetime.
