Emmy Vega was born on October 15th, 1963 to Robert and Edna Vega. She grew up in the Bronx New York and enjoyed playing outside with the boys. Her favorite sport was baseball. At the age of 6 she moved from New York to Sayerville New Jersey.

When she was a junior in high school she attended a party where she met James Holmes. The two began a relationship feeling smitten immediately. They married on September 21st 1982. And on January 28th 1983 they welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Tunisha. On March 9th 1985 the two welcome their only son, James Jr. On August 12th 1993, the two topped off their family with a pair of twin daughters, Tytianna and Jazmine. Emmy and James both had a strong love for Disney and so they spent many vacations together and as a family there.

On September 21st 2007 James and Emmy welcomed their family and friends to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary with them. On April 11th 2008, she was given her first grandchild, a boy named Lorenzo. May 13th 2013 her second grandson, Jace was born.

On August 11th 2018 Emmy was called home to be with the Lord. Emmy spent her life being a loving, daughter, aunt, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be truly missed by everyone who knew her.

Many will treasure the memories of Emmy Holmes.
