Fred St. Amand Jr. Would Like to Extend His Deepest Condolences to the Many Friends and Family of Florana Giraud
Florana Giraud was born in Jeremie, Haiti on March 14,1928. She was the daughter of Rayon Germain and Silora Jerome. Florana had two brothers and five sisters, Robert, Roberde, Germaine, Edith, Marie Claude, Violette and Annette. At the age of 18, she left Jeremie and went to Port-au-Prince. When she arrived, she became the Head Chef of cuisine at College Bird in Port-au-Prince.
Florana Giraud had nine children, four boys and five girls. In 1953, she had her first child, Serge. After that came Marie Yolene and Raymond. In 1959, she got married to her husband, VIlbrun Martial Giraud and had six children named Monique, Mona, Michelet, Erna, Ludnie and Gerald. She had twenty grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She then left Haiti and headed to the United States in 1987. Florana Giraud worked hard all her life. She was compassionate, courageous, great with people, a woman of God and most of all, she loved her family dearly.
On September 7, 2018, Florana Giraud was called home to be with the Lord. She left behind her family, the Germain, Giraud, Jerome, Cineus, Guerrier and many other family and friends.
