Jonas Larose

July 15, 1961 ~ November 30, 2016 (age 55) 55 Years Old
Mr. JONAS LAROSE, born July 15, 1961, age 55, died in Orange, NJ, on Wednesday November 30, 2016. He was the son of VERITE LAROSE and LAMERCIE JEAN BAPTISTE.  He left to cherish his wife MERIANE ETIENNE, four children Joderline Larose, Felismene Larose, Jobsony Larose and Obed Larose and two grandchildren Pechia Vastey and Chinaria Vastey , his mother LAMERCIE JEAN BAPTISTE and brothers and sisters  and a bunch of cousins. He attended Martin Luther king college in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.  He was a carrying father and a responsible person.  To improve the condition of the life of his children as the financial situation in Haiti was downgraded he decided to leave behind his family to immigrate in United States 1992. “For a better life, for a better life”.  Jonas loved music and worked as the maestro of many church’s group and was the proud Sunday school teacher of his church, he was a composer and wrote many songs, his passion was to see people’s life improved and left behind an untouchable legacy that lives forever.  Because of Jonas dynamist and passion for people and development of his native country, Duclos, a small village in Haiti has been received electricity which was a surprise for many.
My father always provided everything for us. My father makes sure all of us have education. Helping others was always his passion. After 15 years my father became a USA citizen. At the same time he applied for a visa for my mom, my sisters, my grandfather, my grandmother and me. My father and I used to play guitar together, he also knew how to play piano and saxophone. What I remember most about my father is how he used to make sure all of the doors in the house lock at night before he went to sleep. I already feel life is getting hard for me. I just bought a house for mom and dad six month ago. My father was very happy he also cleaned the house everyday and make sure everything was up and running.
My father used to work at night shift. He always came home in the middle to make sure his family okay. The day my father was going to pass away, he came home at 10 o’clock pm to park my sister car on his drive way and died at 11:15 pm. A day like November 30th will be a day that I will never forget. I do not know what words that I can use to describe my father. The person that I am today is because he had done a lot for me. My father was and remains my hero; my rock, my best friend and a life without him didn’t seem possible.
