Joseph Herisse

Né le 17 mars 1943 á Haute Feuille 2e section communale de Machand Dessalines, il est le 4 eme progeniture d’une famille de 8 enfants. Il a fait ces etudes primaires á Haute Feuille, ces études secondaires aux Gonaives et ces études supérieures á Port au Prince.
En 1971 il a laissé son pays natal pour venir vivre Etats-Unis d’Amerique. Mr.Joseph Herissé est pere de 6 enfants Marie Hertha Herissé, Rosemene Herissé, Carline Herisse, Marc D. Herisse, Herissan Herissé, Vladimir Herissé. Rentré a L’Eglisé Mont des Oliviers, il est vite distingué par son caractèré son courage, sa viracité d’esprit et son sens de responsabilité. Pour ses enfants, il est un père adorable, comprehensif, charmant. Pour sa famille, ceux qui n’ont pas de père, il represente un père pour eux, et ceux qui n’ont pas de mère, il représente avec brio une mére pour eux, c’est fort de ce tempérament qui fait de lui un homme digne de son nom.
Modéle de père, conscient et soucieux de ses devoirs, il n’hesite pas á sacrifier sa propre personne pour construire le bonheur de sa famille.
Mr.Joseph Herissé est un homme remarquable, courtois jovial apprécié de tous pour ses bonnes manières, aimé d’un amour sans bornes de sa famille, il n’a jamais failli à ses devoirs de oncle de père et d’homme tout court.
Ce n’est que le mardi ler Août 2017 après une opération sans planifiée que la mort jalouse et si prompt au devoir a saisie ce grand homme de foi à 6hres 45 AM à Cornell Hall.
Pour ces enfants, c’est un coup dûr, pour ces proches et sa famille, c’est la mort dans l’âme.
Mr.Joseph Herissé, allé en paix, tu resteras toujours présent, ton âme restera toujours parmi nous. “Que la terre te sois agréablement légère.”
On March 17, 1943 in Haute Feuille Joseph was born. He was the fourth child among eight other siblings. His eductational route took him to Haute Feuille for middle school, Gonaives for High School and Port au Prince for college.
Joseph traveled to America with the hopes better opportunities in 1971. He had six kids. Marie Hertha Herisse, Rosemene Herisse, Carline Herisse, Marc D. Herisse, Herissan Herisse, and Vladimir Herisse. Mr.Herisse separated himself from others becoming a distinguished member of the church and a well-rounded individual who could be held responsible for his actions and also caring of others. He was a beloved father to his kids and his love for them was unmeasurable. For those who did not have a father figure in their life, he played that role for them. The way he conducted himself made others look up to him. A generous person who was never hesitant to help others with his time or financially, in their time of need.  
Joseph Herisse was a person that made heads turn upon entering the room because of his warmth and how he greeted others. Words cannot express the amount of love that he received from his family. One of the handful of people who could not say “no” to his nieces, nephews, and grandkids.
On the first of August at approximately 6:45 AM at Cornell Hall Mr.Herisse time came for him to leave us. After an operation that was done without the knowledge of all family members brought the passing of him. Death took this amazing individual who’s faith was deeply rooted in God. For his kids the death hurt them and took them by surprise, it was as if they had died as well. Even though you are gone you will always be with us. May the ground lay softly on you.
