Marie Kelene Vilceus, was born on September 29th, 1961 in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti. She was the 2nd child of her parents: Vilbrun Vilceus and Marie Alice Cime and was followed by 8 siblings. Marie was living peacefully in Haiti before immigrating in the USA where she met my father in this church and got married. She gave birth to Kemisha and Kirby.
She was a workaholic who, for the last 20 years, worked 16 hours a day to make sure that her family had everything. She barely took time off from work until she got sick. Even if the doctor told her to stay home and rest, the only thing she was always thinking of was work, work and work.
However, Marie always had a positive attitude toward life; even if she was suffering, she always said “Don’t worry, I’m not dying, I will get better.” Until the last minute, she didn’t think that death would take her away from us any time soon.
Mom, you are now in God’s hands, in a better place. No more pain. I just want to thank you for all you have done for us and most of all, thank you for being my mom. My dad, brother and I love you and will miss you.
