Mona Elysee was born on March 22, 1953 in Léogâne, Haiti to the parentage (can keep parentage or remove and just go with “…,Haiti to the late Edward Elysee and Clemence Vainquer) of the late Edward and Clemence Vainquer. She was one of 6. In 1982, she moved to the US.
Upon arriving, she quickly grew a love for the country and immersed herself by learning English. Led by her caring nature, she then went on to become a CNA nurse. Mona’s love for helping people did not go unnoticed as those who were blessed to encounter her were always touched by her sincerity and kindness.
Mona made her home in Union, NJ and had three children. She loved her family and children immensely. She enjoyed simple things such as spending time with her family, the color red, and of course, banan peze.
On May 29, 2018, Mona was called home to be with the Lord. Sharing the memories of her life are:
