Psalm 30:5 Weeping may endure for the night,

but joy cometh in the morning

Reverend Berthony Jean Frejuste was born on July 17, 1946 in Port-Au- Prince, Haiti to the parentage of the late Ludovic Frejuste and Louisa Louis. Rev. Berthony received his formal education through Lycee Petion in Port Au Prince, Haiti. He received his pastoral license at Pentecostal Church of God Institution in 1988.

Rev. Berthony left Haiti in 1975 to pursue a better life. Before arriving to the United States in 1978, he lived and traveled in Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guillain de France and Paris, France. Throughout Reverend Berthony ‘s travel he always remained an active member in every church.

In 1978, he met his beloved wife, Yvrose in Brooklyn, New York. Soon after meeting her, Rev. Berthony was sure he met the right one. Before approaching Yvrose, the true gentleman wrote her mother a letter asking for her blessing. After five months of dating, May 26, 1978, Rev. Berthony got down on one knee and asked Yvrose affectionally known as “my girl” for her hand in marriage. Yvrose of course said yes, and on October 20, 1979 they became Mr. and Mrs. Frejuste.  12 years after the marriage, Rev. Berthony Frejuste became a father. They had a handsome boy named Samuel who is now 27 years old. 10 years later they had a beautiful daughter named Rachel who is now 17 years old. 3 years after they had another  precious daughter named Sara who is now 14 years old. Years past and he bought a new member to the family, a dog, named Roxie who is now 9 years old. Rev. Berthony and Yvrose spent 39 loving and wonderful years together.

Rev. Berthony while in Haiti, worked for Damien as an agricultural operator, before coming to the United States. While in the United States, he worked as a supervisor for Millen Industries for 28 years until the company closed in 2003. Soon after he worked for the Executive Limousine Company until he retired. From a young age Rev. Berthony always had a great passion for God which led him to follow his calling and start his own ministry at Eglise Haitienne Pentecostal Unice in 1989.

Rev. Berthony enjoyed playing soccer and watch his favorite team France. He also loved looking sharp in his suits for church he had an exceptional collection of hats. He enjoyed preparing his sermons for church with his eldest daughter Rachel. As well as loved to destroy his kids, nieces, and nephews in Dominoes.
