Roland Delva

Roland was born on March 15, 1937 in L’Azile, Haiti. Only child to Dipratte and Prenise Delva. Roland grew up in the country side where he learned and became a farmer. Roland planted fruits and vegetables. He also raised livestock such as cows, chickens, goats and pigs.  

Roland went on to starting a family and having

children of his own, he has 12 children. Roland left Haiti In August of 1996 to come to the United States to work and provide a little more for his family.

Roland was a very hard worker, there was nothing that he couldn’t do. Roland worked at ShopRite for 16 years before retiring. After retirement Roland traveled back home to his country to enjoy the fruits of his labor.

Roland lived a happy life. Everyone who had the

pleasure of being around him witnessed nothing but laughter and love. There was not a day that passed that he didn’t have a big smile on his face. Roland leaves behind tons of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
