Villeret Guillaume Obituary

Fred Saint Amand Jr Extends Deepest Condolences To The Guillaume Family.

Villeret Guillaume was born on July 12,1959 in L’Artibonite, Haiti to his parents Tala Prophete and Verite Guillaume.  He was the youngest of five brothers and had one younger sister. He grew up in Cheveau, Lombard, Artibonite where he was also educated. Villeret had one son in Haiti prior to coming to the United States.

He came to America in 1983 with his brother to pursue a better life for himself and his child. Shortly after moving to America he began drivingTaxi in New York City, which is how he earned his livelihood for the better part of his life, allowing him to provide for his family here and in his native country of Haiti. He also was an entrepreneur, often delving into different business ventures including running barber and beauty shops, catering, restaurants and other things throughout his life.

He also met Clermitha Auguste not long after coming to America, who would later become his wife.  The two had three children together, raised in New Jersey.  Villeret had the pleasure of being a father in law and grandfather to four grandchildren.

Villeret was a lover of life as evidenced by how he lived: he was a kind man. He was charismatic and his enthusiasm was infectious. He always had a joke or two and a fond memory of those he cared for to share with them. He brought with him positivity and always looked on the bright side, there was always a silver living for every rain cloud. He was a Christian and lover of God. He was a good father, who always provided for his young children. He was an Uncle who loved his nieces and nephews tremendously, helping many of them come to live in America, standing by their side when they were ill or in need.  He was a brother, cousin and friend. He was always shamelessly proud of who he was and the ones he loved. He worked hard and was always there when you needed him.

It was with great sadness that we send off Villeret Guillaume. Gone too soon, his sun set on the morning of July 26, 2018. He is gone but never forgotten.  We say our good-byes with the dignity, love and respect that he deserves. He is survived by the following family, sharing the memories of his wonder life: His Sons: Vilner Guillaume and Samson Guillaume His Daughters: Ismanie Guillaume and Nancy Guillaume His brothers: Prophete Guillaume, Clebert Guillaume, Fisnele Guillaume and Alcindor Guillaume His sister: Fira Guillaume His Grand Children: Matthew Dominique Guillaume, Samson Colin Guillaume, Nerissa Guillaume and Noah Addison Guillaume And his many Nieces and Nephews
