Yvrose Labossiere

Yvrose Labossière, aged 63, passed away on Monday April 23, 2018. Born on July 20th, 1955 in Port Au Prince, Haiti, Yvrose was the first daughter of the late Joseph Labossière and Marie Carmella Dessources.

Yvrose was proud of her origin and family name. She would often bond with new acquaintances by sharing experiences  of  there native country Haiti.  Yvrose was always happy to report which part of Haiti her family name originated from, which was Saint Marc. Her way of initiating conversation with a stranger was to ask “where in Haiti are you from?”

Yvrose was a homemaker and a business minded individual. She worked hard at raising and providing for her six children. Yvrose loved and lived for her children and grandchildren. Her biggest challenge was not being able to travel and live amongst her children once she learned of her sickness. Since April 2011, Yvrose lived her last years in the United States.

Yvrose’s gregarious personality made it fun to be around her. It was not difficult for her to make new friends and keep lasting friendships. She was passionate about cooking and sharing meals with family and friends. Yvrose always stood out in a crowd and her voice made her the life of the party. She will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her.

Yvrose is survived by her sons: Phalange Desrosiers, Yves Stanley Desrosiers, and Slay Desrosiers; her daughters: Michaelle Desrosiers, Yerline Desrosiers, and Geralda François; her ten  grandchildren; her six siblings, and a number of other relatives and close friends.
