Admiron Jean-Louis was born in Jacmel, Haiti, on July 26 1929. His father Eslouis Jean-louis and mother Ismella Joassaint were also both from Jacmel. He was the youngest of a family of 6 children. He left Jacmel, as an adolescent, to continue his classical studies in Port-Au-Prince.
As a young man, Admiron was always interested in the stories and movies involving the army and military strategies. At a very young age, he enrolled in the Haitian army. He will end up spending 30 years in the army before he decides to retire and end his military career.
In Port-Au- Prince, he met his wife to be Yolaine. After dating for a few years, they married in July 1956. They settled to raise a family of 9 children. Admiron was first and foremost a man of faith and a family man. His belief in the word of Christ and his desire to provide for his family were the main guiding principles throughout his life. Admiron and Yolaine remained married for 67 years.
He was a man of commitment who believed in sticking to his engagements.
In September 1999, Admiron left Haiti to rejoin his wife in the US. There they continued to live a life, mostly dedicated to their family and their involvement with their Church.
Even though he was a man of few words and very mild mannered, Admiron was of strong character, and he deeply believed that respect for the gospel of God was the path to a fulfilled life. And he strived to raise his children by urging them to adopt these same principles. All throughout the time he spent here, he constantly engaged in encouraging others to try building their life upon the concepts of faith in God and love for family.
Admiron was also a strong and determined man. A soldier (soldat), as the family would nickname him. And even near the end of his life when his health was deteriorating, he never looked or sounded like he had given up.
On December 27, 2023, Admiron was called home to be with the lord. He was 94 year old. His legacy will be that of an example of a life well lived. May his soul rest in eternal peace and rise in glory!
His memory shall live forever throughout his family and friends.
Admiron is survived by:
