Agnes Delores James, lovingly known as “Grandma Rose” or “Miss Rose,” was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend whose presence brought light and love to everyone she met. Grandma Rose found great joy in her faith and was a proud member of her church choir, where she loved to sing praises. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends, who were truly the center of her world. Grandma Rose had a vibrant personality and a playful spirit, always keeping her home tidy — even sweeping when there was nothing to sweep. Her warmth, laughter, and wisdom will forever be remembered by those who loved her.

She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Sheryl Shirley; her granddaughters, Titania Appleton, Tajera Appleton, and Devonè Johnson; her grandsons, Rayschler Louis, Justin Brantley; her great-grandchildren, Jordan Phillips, Renee Phillips, Aurora Jacobs, Miylah Marlette, and Genesis Brantley; and her cousin, Donna Robb and friends.

Grandma Rose’s love and faith-filled spirit will continue to inspire her family and all who had the honor of knowing her.
