Obituary

Born in Haiti on July 7, 1930, in Laplate in the commune of Bassin-Bleu, Alexandre Mysterphil FLEURINORD is the son of Mr. Florvilus Fleurinord and Mrs. Rose Orphilia Prince. He is the 2nd of a family of 8 children including Fermilus (deceased), Filomène, Théramène, Dicléus (deceased), Clermania, Florvilien (deceased), Sérandieu (deceased), and Filyanie.

From an early age, Mysterphil distinguished himself by his rather special character, his courage, his quick-wittedness, his bravery and his sense of responsibility. Passionate about fashion, style and elegance, he put his classical studies on hold to indulge his passion. Thus, he moved to the city of Port de Paix and joined one of the best Couture Workshops where he became an accomplished professional in the field.

A few years later, he returned to his hometown and married the love of his life, Pernilia ESTERVIL, daughter of M. Perne and Dieudone ESTERVIL.From their union will be born 13 children including the eldest Anne Marie Madeleine (deceased), Wilfrid, Marie-Lourdes, Louis XVI, Rodrigue (deceased), Jean Claude (deceased), Guerla (deceased), Adeline ''Micheline'', Adeline (deceased), Guerrier, Rodeline (deceased), Roline and Johnny. Then, of these children, he will have 37 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Model husband, exceptional father, conscious and concerned about his duties, he did not hesitate to sacrifice himself for the education of his children and to build the happiness of his family. Over the years, vision problems forced him to put down the scissors and start a new chapter in his life in the field of large-area farming. At the same time, his sense of leadership, his patriotism, love of others and his concern for the socio-political situation of the country have enabled him to be a reference personality in his community. Thus, he took his first steps in politics by joining the campaign team of Doctor Luc Fleurinord who was elected Senator of the Department of North West for three consecutive terms. With his notoriety, Mysterphil was appointed head of the communal section where he resided for several years and was the political adviser to several magistrates, Deputy and Senator of the North West until his departure from Haiti in February 2000.

Passionate about history and mathematics, he never ceases to imprint on the minds of his children the highlights of the history of Haiti and to accompany them in their homework so that they excel in numbers. He always said, the GREATEST good that a parent can leave to his children is EDUCATION…..

Mysterphil, a remarkably courteous, distinguished, jovial man, appreciated by all for his good manners and his jokes, loved with an unconditional love by his family, his brothers and sisters, his nephews and nieces, never failed in his duties of husband, father and man in the service of his community. Thus, in 1995, following particular circumstances, Mysterphil accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal flavor…

Around 2003, following a stroke, his state of health deteriorated. Thus, during these last 5 years, his life was alternately summed up in repetitive hospitalizations and home care under the unfailing supervision and under the care of his daughter Marie Lourdes.

On June 04, 2022, while recovering from a long period of hospitalization, God decided to call home his son Mysterphil at the age of 91 to Complete Care in Westfield, New Jersey, USA. Alexandre Mysterphil Fleurinord fought the good fight, he has finished the course, he kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for him a crown of righteousness...

As a Christian, Mysterphil did not die, he simply crossed over and will be resurrected at the last day in a glorious body like the Lord Jesus Christ.
