Alicia Pierre

April 14, 1942 ~ August 25, 2023 (age 81) 81 Years Old

Obituary

Alicia Pierre, whom we lovingly called “Ali”, was called Home on Friday, August 25, 2023. She was 81 years old. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by her beloved family and her pastors and brothers and sisters. Alicia’s strength towards the latter part of her life always rooted from her deep relationship with God. She had numerous age-related illnesses. Through all the trials and tribulations of this transient journey called life, she remained a caring, loving, and God-worshiping woman. Alicia was a very brave and courageous woman who valued family and friends more than anything. She is now reunited with her mother, father and two sisters.

Alicia was born on April 14, 1942 in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic. In 1952 her parents decided to migrate to Haiti due to the volatile state of her birth country. In 1988 she then moved to the state of New Jersey with her daughter, where she lived for the rest of her life. She worked hard to bring her family over for the opportunities that this country offers. She always found the moments in her life to give Glory to God for all He discerned her to accomplish. She was a woman who saw the challenges and obstacles of life as fuel for greatness. She became a devout church member of Newborn Wesleyan Church in 1989. As an active member of the church, she participated in all, if not every, church event.

Sr. Alicia’s womb was blessed with a solo child, a dedicated loving daughter whom stood by her side till the day she was called home. In her triumphs and tribulations, she remained steadfast in her faith in God. At such times she was showered with love and support from her immediate and extended families

Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us. Last week, Sr. Alicia Pierre rejoined her heavenly family and gained her wings.

We love you but God loves you more. Rest in the bosom of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While thanking God for your life and the fond memories of a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, let us tell you that you’ll be missed but we will continue to love you.

She is survived by her only child, Nagela Saint Fleur; her son-in-law, Harry Saint Fleur; her grandsons, Markindy Saint Cyr and Harry Saint Fleur Jr.; her adopted grandson, Cedrick Jean; her great-granddaughter; Jordan Rivera Saint Cyr, and numerous friends and family who she shared her love with.

Rest in Peace Ali!
