Andre Bata

Andre Bata was born on December 16th,1930 in Lazil, Haiti born by Lamercie Francillon and Elodor bata. He was born as the smallest and weakest triplet but against all odds was the only triplet to survive .

Andre spent his life dedicated to protecting his family and those around him. He worked as a farmer for many years as well and was also an avid cockfighter but most importantly, he was a comedian.

In his personal life, Andre was a devoted gardener and could give you a remedy for any illness with anything from his garden. he found joy in protecting those he loved and stepping into the paternal role for anyone in need- as long as you didn’t ask him to borrow any money. He was well known for his crisp white shirts, knee high socks and fancy hats.

Andre is survived by his 6 kids Francoise, Chantale, Medjino, Jeanmax, Kyzer, and Spelanta. 17 grandkids-Mike, Kakou, Foy, Fendy, Marsha, Jemy, Lindsay, Franco, Bianca, Brenda, Feelins, Anjanetta, Jahmai, Johan, Jean, Whitney and Marcus and 9 great grandkids-Nelka, Lindzie, Carter, Liam, Malou, Eli, Elijah, Frankie, and Fiji. Andre is preceded in death by his 2 wives Monique Opont and Claire Merizeur three children Viva, Smith and Jean Albert and grandchild Anyjah.

At 1:37pm on August 1st Andre passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 93. He was a beloved father, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, Godfather and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He will be remembered for kindness, wisdom, and sense of humor. His legacy will live on through the memories shared by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest in God’s peace, Andre Bata. You will be forever cherished in our hearts.
