Andree Anne Evra was born in Desdunes, Haiti on November 24, 1959. She is the daughter to both Doirius Evra and Lessort Phillips Barthelemy. Andree Anne is 3rd child of a family of 11 kids. In order we have: Bazelais Evra, Marie Anise Evra, Andree Anne Evra, pastor Jean Paul Evra, Pierre Julio Evra, Pierre Edward Evra, Nerva Evra, Elvira Evra, Milouse Evra, Guermann Evra and Asmann Evra. Andree Anne attended primary school in Desdunes. She would then go on to attend higher education in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and eventually enroll in the College Institute of Leo Pol Sedar Senghor. In 1983, she left Haiti and immigrated to United States, where she married her then fiancé Robert Pierre-Louis who she had 2 children with: Roobens Pierre-Louis and Roselande Pierre-Louis. While she raised and loved her kids passionately, she also went to cosmetology school to pursue and explore her love for beauty. She then went on to pursue a career in healthcare where she worked as a CNA where she could better support her family financially. In 2011, she learned of an unfortunate and deeply concerning diagnosis. She learned that she had breast cancer and in 2012, she underwent surgery to have a mastectomy and went on to treat her cancer for 15 years. During that time, she went on to divorce her now estranged ex-husband in 2014, where both Roobens and Roselande continued to provide full support for her as a family of 3. As she continued her battle through chemotherapy and other treatments, she went on to live a full life. She remained devoted to her church activities, continuously showing support for her family by attending gatherings, witnessing her son and daughter obtain their college degrees and celebrating life to the fullest. She would always say “Life is too short, don’t stress” and lived her life to that exact motto. Although, her physical journey ended on March 13, 2026, her spirit and legacy goes on for an eternity. Her energy was bright just as we all remembered and may she forever rest eternally in peace.
