Augustin Lucien Obituary

Augustin Lucien passed away unexpectedly at Clara Mass Hospital on December 15, 2023. The passing was sudden and unexpected to quote the bible that, “the life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.”

Augustin was born on November 22, 1968, in Grand-Islet, Desdunes. Augustin grew up in Gonaives, Haiti and attended school there also. Both his primary and secondary school were held in Gonaives. He worked tirelessly in difficult conditions to provide for his family. As his family grew and wanted to provide for them in a better way, he decided to immigrate to the United States of America for a better life.

Augustin is survived by his seven children, he also survived by his brother Enock Lucien and his siter Lucienne Racius nee Lucienne Lucien. He is also survived by a bunch of other family members.

Augustin had the biggest heart and the most beautiful smile. He was a private and quiet person, but also very witty and fun! He was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate.

Augustin was never scared to take on new opportunities and did everything with honesty and integrity. He had very strong values and was well liked by everyone, mostly due to his positive energy. Augustin had incredible patience, and always made time to help others. He would say it all comes back to us.

His legacy will carry on forever reminding us that we control our attitudes. We choose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service, like Christ modeled for us.

Augustin was a beautiful person inside and out. His smile was so stunning it would light up the whole room. He cared so deeply for the people around him. He was so kind and passionate. He made an impact on many lives. He will be forever missed. Until we meet again. May God bless his soul.
