Bartone Constant was born on April 20, 1944 in Desdunes, Haiti to the parentage of the late Saint-Fort Constant and Fanie Nicolas Constant. Bartone completed his studies at 18 years of age and left Haiti in his late 20’s to visit Suriname in South America. He went back to Haiti for a few years before coming to the U.S.
While residing in the U.S., Bartone cared and provided for his family. He loved to watch soccer, play card games, and Dominoes with his friends and was always eager to win in friendly competitions.
From an early age, Bartone taught his siblings how to wash their clothes and most of all, cook and help fix around the house they lived in. Bartone realized that his siblings thought it was a waste of time, but as a great older sibling, he knew the skills he taught them would help one day, and they did. Despite his illness, Bartone was known as someone with a strong spirit who never gave up. He was funny, playful, talked and laughed a lot, and loved to dance.
On December 29, 2024, Bartone was called home to be with the Lord. Sharing the memories of his wonderful life are:
