On December 2, 2024, our beloved Bellevina Alexandre is now absent from the body but her soul is present with the Lord. She is now resting peacefully in her Father’s kingdom in Heaven.
Bellevina was born on October 1, 1949 to Ora Pierreville and Baptist Litus and married Gerard Alexandre on July 13, 1967. She migrated to the United States on May 25, 1973 and settled in Essex County, New Jersey. She held many positions in various industries throughout the years while raising her six children. She was well known for her work ethics and teamwork. Her favorite role was being a mother.
After agonizing with the decision for decades of losing her original nationality, she became a United States citizen on May 20, 2005, then she participated in the democratic process by voting in federal, state and local elections.
Bellevina embraced life through her simple pleasures, watching her favorite soap opera, General Hospital and her favorite game show, Jeopardy as well as chatting and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed family gatherings, her birthday celebrations and the holidays especially Christmas. Other hobbies included reading, cooking, listening to music and doing crossword puzzles.
Bellevina was a devout Catholic and a faithful member of the church. She participated in several pilgrimages to deepen her connection with the Lord and waited with anticipation for St. Clair’s spiritual revivals. She attended mass regularly, first at Sacred Heart in Irvington, next at Saint Leo’s in Irvington then Saint Michael’s in Union. She was always ready to offer words of comfort to whomever needed it.
Bellevina is preceded in death by her parents Ora Pierreville and Baptist Litus; her sisters Immacula Litus and Cebien Litus-Cenatus and her brothers St. Jean Litus and Innocent Litus.
Bellevina is survived by her husband Gerard Alexandre; her sisters Susanne Litus and Inafere Litus and her six children: Moselie Alexandre, Wedler Alexandre (Macdalie), Wedna Alexandre-Estime (Dukens), Shandline Alexandre-Estime (Dumond), Dandline Alexandre and Dandley Alexandre (Nilda). Also, her eight grandchildren: Jessica Rene, Joshua Rene, Abigail Alexandre, Megan-Kay Alexandre, Jonathan Estime, Jason Estime, Miranda Estime and Lauren Estime
