Carida Durand

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Carida Durand on November 21, 2024, at the age of 79. Born in St-Marc, Haïti on April 1, 1945, she has resided in Haïti, St-Martin and various parts of the United States. Carida truly knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive. Her generosity knew no bounds. She lived her life with unwavering faith and an open heart, embodying the teachings of Christ in all her actions. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a beautiful soul who would help anyone.

Although Carida is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her children, Marie-Marthe Joseph, Martine Odige and husband Jocelyn Odige, Felix Cajuste and his wife Marie Marthe Innocent Cajuste, Didro Manassé; grandchildren, Nastassia Carida Metellus François, Marcus Durant and his fiancé Beaty McKnight, Anthony Odige, Jenniah Odige, Dimitri Andrew Cajuste, Infinite Manassé, Nathan René Alcindor, Fiona Lauri Cajuste, Fennly Kareem Cajuste, Darren Stefan Cajuste, J’adore Paris Cajuste and Fedjine Carry Cajuste; great grandchildren, Tyler Nicolas Darilus and Enzo Michael Alix Cajuste; siblings, Adeline Auguste Durand et son mari Toni Auguste, Eunide Louis-Jeune Durand et son mari Ricot Louis-Jeune, Denise Durand, Edva Durand, Evanois Durand, Yvenel Durand, Evelyne Durand. 

Preceded in death by parents, Evariste and Immacula Durand; sons, Marc Alex Durand and Pierre André Cajuste.
