Carmelle Meranville Obituary

 

Carmelle Meranville was born on the 16th of July,1938 in Port Au Prince, Haiti to the parentage of the late Estephen Etienne and Marriane Lafontant. She grew up in church and used to sing in the choir. Carmelle was married in her twenties and had three children, later on she had eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. She was a devoted mother, she loved to cook and read her bible. Her favorite psalm was psalm 91 and attended church regularly. Carmelle’s favorite holiday was Easter and her favorite dish was legume. She migrated to U.S at the age of 57, while residing in the U.S., Carmelle continued to provide care to her grandchildren. Carmelle’s hobby included watching good movies and wrestling. Carmelle love to take the train to New York every weekend to visit her sisters.

Carmelle became ill in 1997 and since then she battled with diabetes and despite her illness she managed to go to church, cook, read her bible and take care of her grandchildren. On the 4th of April 2021, Carmelle was called home to be with the Lord on her favorite holiday.

Grandchildren: Kensley and, Kensy Meranville, Lorry Augustin, Carl Meranville, Kettlyne Meranville, Gaelle Meranville, Mickens Meranville Jr. and Mickenson Meranville
