Christcilia Georges

Chriscilia Goerges was born on June 6th, 1924 to the late Servilie Paul and Michel Georges in Desdunes, a commune in L’artibonite. She was the mother of five (5) children, four daughters and one son. Nadila Previlon, Willine Odigé, Marie Denise Odigé, Claircina Previlon (now deceased), and Jean Robert Odigé (also deceased).

Despite the hardships of life, she raised her children almost single-handedly with love, determination, and courage; a true mother.

From a young age, she was nicknamed "Chrisci." She threw herself into her profession with extraordinary talent. She was not only a hard worker, she was a woman of principles, respect, strength, courage, and above all— discipline permeated every action she took.

Her children and grandchildren always appreciated and respected her. For all of us, she was a heroine.

Sadly, on Friday, July 25, she made her final journey on earth. She responded to her Father's call and entered into eternal glory.

The memories she left behind are many, vivid, and unforgettable. Her death is a burden that weighs heavily on our hearts. We cannot find words to express the pain that breaks our hearts, which has darkened many of our days. 

Nonetheless, we trust in God. We believe that he will continue to watch over this family as they go through one of their greatest moments of suffering. Death makes us cry, but our hope rests in the resurrection and the joy of all the saints.

Chriscilia is survived by her 26 grandchildren; Macline Previlon, Belluck Previlon, Chriscilianne Previlon, Obline Previlon, Robens Previlon, Clermane Previlon (deceased), Carlo Joseph, Guerlange Pompilus, Marie Michele Pompilus-Etienne, Eduing Guillaume, Rajai Jean-Baptiste, Myness Jean-Baptiste, Wedline Jean-Baptiste, Godfrey Jean-Baptiste, Wilkenson Jean-Baptiste (deceased), Roberta Benoit, Darling Odige, Roberto Marley, Betty Odige, Jessie Odige, Junou Borden, Robertson Odige, Godson Odige, Jeremiah Odige, Christopher Odige, Godson Michel, Widline Michel, and Mariett Michel; along with over 2 dozen great grandchildren.

Rest in peace, Chrisci. You didn't just leave behind memories, you left a living legacy.

We love you. We remember you. We will never forget you.
