Clautide Pierre Appolon

Clautide was born on March 4th, 1967, in Desdunes, Haiti, to the late Neiphide Dorceus and Matelus Pierre. She was the 5th child in a family of six: Maccia Francois, Fred Pierre, Richemond Pierre, Yolane Pierre, Serrece Pierre, and Lucienne Pierre. Clautide graduated from high school in Haiti and earned a bachelor's degree in Economics before moving to the United States of America. At the age of 36 Clautide married her beloved husband Rodney Lesly Appolon and in 2007 the couple welcomed their child together, Tabitha Appolon.

While juggling family responsibilities and the challenges of relocating to a new country, Clautide attended Essex County College, where she studied nursing and had worked in the healthcare field for nearly 20 years. Clautide had a heart for service which led her in the healthcare field, where she found her true calling. Her patients and colleagues alike were touched by her gentle spirit, warm smile, and unwavering commitment to providing comfort and support to those in need. Whether it was holding a patient’s hand during a difficult moment or going the extra mile to ensure someone felt seen and heard, she brought kindness and humanity into every room she entered.

Clautide brought comfort, support, and a sense of peace to everyone she met. Even in her final days, she was surrounded by all the love she had so freely given throughout her life. Clautide may no longer be with us, but her legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. She taught us the true meaning of empathy and the power of a simple smile.
