David Dormercant Obituary

In Loving Memory of David Domercant

David Domercant known as David, dad, Honeybee, Brother Domercant, Metrela, Dave, Uncle, Tifre and Dawo;  a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love and memories of those who were blessed to know him.

David was born on April 25, 1965, in Ducis-Les Cayes, Haiti, to Sonia Domercant and Edmond Jean-Pierre, both of whom preceded him in death. From an early age and throughout his life, David was known for his caring and compassionate heart. He was selfless, generous, giving, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a quiet strength about him, calm, cool, and collected. David had a gift for making the people he loved feel that their time together mattered.

David later immigrated to New Jersey in 1989 with his sister and lived with his mom in East Orange. He later  met his best friend and the love of his life, Phoebee. The two were married on August 2, 1997, and later moved to Georgia. Together, they built a life and family filled with love, devotion, and countless cherished memories.

David was a devoted husband and a loving father to Doreene, Darren, and Delon Kayden. His family was at the heart of his life. He treasured spending time with them and found joy in the simple moments they shared together. Whether during spiritual activities, vacationing, playing pool with his children, playing darts—with dart boards throughout the house—or simply enjoying time together, David created memories that his family will carry with them forever.

David was a very articulate person when speaking, giving a talk, or making comments at meetings. He had the privilege of serving as a ministerial servant and an elder in many congregations.

He had many passions and was someone who truly enjoyed life. David loved to cook and had quite the sweet tooth; he was a true foodie who never passed up an opportunity to enjoy something delicious. He enjoyed reading, sewing and ironing, cleaning, loved dressing up, and always carried himself with a sense of style. He enjoyed watching sports, especially soccer, playing dominoes and bezig, and listening to music. His love for Ti Vice and Nu Look was unmistakable and their music was often part of the soundtrack of his life.

Professionally, David was a hardworking and dedicated entrepreneur. He owned and operated Air Science Heating and Air, where he took pride in his work and in providing for his family. His dedication, determination, and willingness to help others were reflected not only in his family life, but also in the way he approached his work and his relationships with those around him.

Above all else, David's greatest priority was his relationship with Jehovah. He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on August 19, 1982, and his faith was an important part of who he was. David was an active member of his congregations, where he built strong, lifelong bonds with his brothers and sisters. He was always willing to help, encourage, and support others. He also found joy in preaching and sharing his faith with those around him.

David's love for Jehovah guided the way he lived his life. His faith gave him a deep love for others, a desire to serve, and a strong hope for the future. Above all, he looked forward to the promise of the resurrection and the time when he would once again be reunited with those he loved.

David leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, generosity, faith, and selflessness. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Phoebee Michel-Domercant; his 3 children, Doreene, Darren, and Delon Kayden; his sister, Perpetue Joseph and her husband, Loty Joseph; his brothers, Emerson Jean-Pierre and his wife, Emille Jean- Pierre and his wife, and Varlo Jean-Pierre and his wife; his nieces Neilly Joseph, Varlone Jean-Pierre, Varline Jean-Pierre, and Melly E. Jean-Pierre. His nephews Lovadney and wife Enrika Joseph, Perry and wife Rayanna Joseph,  Henchel and wife Andreyanna Joseph and Everson E Jean-Pierre;  great nieces Pria and Psalm Joseph. His sister in law Mardochee Michel-Robinson and husband Joseph Robinson, brother in law Jimmy Michel, mother in law Myrtha and husband Ludovic Robert,  as well as his extended family, friends, and congregation members who were fortunate enough to know him.

An memwa David Domerçant

Plis pase tout bagay, li t ap tann avèk enpasyans pwomès rezirèksyon an ak moman kote li t ap retounen wè moun li te renmen yo.

David kite dèyè li yon eritaj ki chaje ak lanmou, jantiyès, jenerozite, lafwa, ak devouman pou lòt moun. Li pral manke anpil pou madanm li li te renmen anpil, Phoebee Michel-Domercant; twa pitit li yo, Doreene, Darren, ak Delon Kayden; sè li, Perpetue Joseph ak mari li, Loty Joseph; frè li yo, Emerson Jean-Pierre ak madanm li, Emille Jean-Pierre ak madanm li, ansanm ak Varlo Jean-Pierre ak madanm li; nyès li yo, Neilly Joseph, Varlone Jean-Pierre, Varline Jean-Pierre, ak Melly E. Jean-Pierre.

Neve li yo, Lovadney ak madanm li, Enrika Joseph; Perry ak madanm li, Rayanna Joseph; Henchel ak madanm li, Andreyanna Joseph; ansanm ak Everson E. Jean-Pierre; grannyès li yo, Pria ak Psalm Joseph.

Bèl-sè li, Mardochee Michel-Robinson ak mari li, Joseph Robinson; bèl-frè li, Jimmy Michel; bèlmè li, Myrtha, ak mari li, Ludovic Robert; ansanm ak tout lòt manm fanmi li, zanmi li yo, ak manm kongregasyon an ki te gen chans konnen li.
