Sr. Denise was born on November 24, 1956, in Desdunes, Haiti to the parentage of the late Chresnel Thermitus and Etrenne Myrtil. Sr. Denise completed her studies in Haiti in 1979. After leaving her home country of Haiti, she went on to partake in bakery and seam stressing in the United States.
Sr. Denise excelled even further with her seamstress talents where she customized a multitude of concepts to include but not limited to dresses, men’s and women’s suits, children’s apparel, curtains, bed sheets, and plenty more. She obtained her certificate in Dressmaking in September 2008 from Stratford Career Institute, St. Albans, VT.
While residing in the United States she cared and provided for her family. This included continuing her studies where she became a nurse. The education she obtained through her many years of nursing showed extreme relevancy through the year 2023 where she provided almost two decades of care and respect for her aging mother.
She raised her children to understand the gospel of Jesus Christ and to be raised within the church. Sr. Denise’s obedience to serve the Lord extended with the ministries she partook in, through leading and teaching with House of Grace and La Sous, she also served as the treasurer for Group Mahanaim Ministry.
From 2020 - 2022 she went on to continue her education in Theology at Grace Hill Bible University. There she obtained her associate degree in Christian Ministry, her bachelor's in theology and her master's in theology.
Furthermore, Sr. Denise had a passion for singing, specifically evangelical music. This passion led her to author a multitude of songs that not only revolved around scripture but glorified the Lord.
In late 1997 and early 2000’s Sr. Denise dropped two fire albums with the assistance of Frere Walner Jean; “Start Over Again” and “Anba Zel Amoul”. She also sang and wrote in collaboration with Cosmopolite Divin.
On Sunday April 28th, 2024, Sr. Denise was called home to be with the Lord. Sharing the memories of her wonderful life are:
