Dezius Cherenfant Obituary

Dezius was born April 28, 1940 in Desdune, Haiti to the parentage of the late Penelope Simon and Derilus Desomme. Dezius completed his studies in Gonaives. He left Haiti in the year of 1977 to make a better living for his family.

Dezius was very diverse in his work. As a result of his diverse work ethics, he was a tailor for male clothing and later went on to work at a warehouse. Despite how hard he worked, Dezius had no choice but to retire at a young age due to an illness.

While residing in the U.S., Dezius cared and provided for his family. Dezius loved to bring joy to all those around him through jokes and laughter. Dezius also loved dancing and singing, anyone would tell you he was the life of the party.

From an early age, Dezius taught his children to be independent and most of all, to work for everything you have. He also made sure each of his kids received proper education. As all good parents Dezius knew the advice he gave them would help them one day, and it did. Despite his illness, Dezius was known as someone with a strong spirit who never gave up.

On August 13, 2025, Dezius was called home to be with the Lord. Sharing the memories of his wonderful life are: His only Daughter: Desiliane Cherenfant better known as Azou, His Sons: Wesley, Chesnel, James, Demsieur, Wilsame and Desir Cherenfant, His Sisters: Cleomise, Elliete, Justine and Tatoune Simone and His Wife: Malitide Cherenfant

He also left a total of 32 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild to carry on his memories.
