Dieugrand St. Armand Obituary

 

Dieugrand St. Armand was born on May 18, 1954, in Hatte Chevreau, Haiti, to his parents, Merzelas Jean St. Armand and Acefie Dalmacy. At the age of five, he began his primary education at Francois Volny Primary School in Gonaives, Haiti. After completing primary school, Dieugrand continued his education in Gonaives before later moving to Port-au-Prince to pursue his secondary studies.

As a young man, Dieugrand traveled to Martinique, the French Caribbean island, where he worked in the hospitality industry for approximately three years. His time abroad reflected his determination, ambition, and hardworking spirit. He later returned to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where he continued building his life with resilience and dedication.

At the age of 26, Dieugrand immigrated to the United States alongside his brothers, Mezilien St. Armand and Rollin Jean. Driven by the desire to create a better future, he worked tirelessly and built a life marked by perseverance and commitment. During the late 1980s, Dieugrand worked in the electronics field for CTI Communication Techniques, where he served as a PC Board Technician. To further support his family, he also worked as a taxi driver on weekends. He was widely respected as a dependable, hardworking man who took great pride in providing for those he loved.

Later in life, Dieugrand met his former spouse, Rolande Charles. From their union, three children were born: Patricia, Kimby, and Tatiana St. Armand. Dieugrand loved his children deeply and remained devoted to supporting and caring for them throughout his life. He held a special place in his heart for his eldest daughter Patricia, whom he loved dearly. He shared a special bond with his only son Kimby through their love of sports. He maintained a particularly affectionate and close bond with his youngest daughter, Tatiana. He cherished the unique relationship he had with each of his children, who remained the pride and joy of his life.

Outside of work and family life, Dieugrand had a deep love for music and entertainment. He greatly enjoyed the music of Bob Marley and the beloved Haitian musician Ti Manno, whose songs brought him happiness and comfort. He was also a devoted fan of WWF wrestling and enjoyed following his favorite sports

Dieugrand St. Armand is survived by his loving children, Patricia St. Armand, Kimby St.Armand, and Tatiana St. Armand; and his beloved grandson, Jace Cejour.His siblings; Eliezer Saint Armand and family, Rollin Jean and family, Mezilien Saint Armand and family, Serfise Jean and family, Servilia Jean and family, Merzula Jean and family, Jean Gilles Saint Armand and family, Yanick Jean and family, Jean Louis Jean and family, Fresnel Jean and family, Karine Saint Armand and family, Machoute Augustin and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merzelas Jean St. Armand and Acefie Dalmacy; his brothers Jean Pierre Saint Armand, Saint Alet Saint Armand, and Bola Saint Armand; and his sisters Sylvio Augustin and Eliadie Augustin.

On June 6, 2026, Dieugrand St. Armand peacefully transitioned at his home surrounded by love. He will forever be remembered for his strength, resilience, unwavering dedication to his family, and the love he shared with everyone who knew him.
