Dodley Piersainvil

Dodley Piersainvil was born on May 12th, 1993 in Newark, NJ to the parents of Emmanuel Piersainvil and Bertha St. Louis. Dodley attended school at Our Lady Help of Christians, Burnett Middle School and Union High School. He continued his education at DeVry University where he studied Computer Science.

Dodley was a hard worker, strong-minded, charismatic, had an amazing sense of humor, very helpful, adventurous, goofy and lovable to all his family and friends. Not only did all these characteristics fit him but he also was the big protector of his siblings.  

Dodley’s first job at the age of 16 was Shoprite where he worked as a cashier. He also worked various jobs such as Olive Garden, Newark Airport, Bahama Breeze and lastly Chemtech Environmental Laboratory. His favorite hobbies were sports, skydiving, participating in color runs and fixing electronics. His future goals were to become a carpenter and start his own carpentry business. In addition, he wanted to start a Podcast and create his own app. 

Dodley was a beloved son who leaves behind his parents Emmanuel Piersainvil and Bertha St. Louis. He was a devoted brother to 4 sisters and 1 brother, Erline Piersainvil, Flosemanie Piersainvil Joly, Sara Jane Piersainvil, Marsha Piersainvil and McKinley Piersainvil and amazing nieces Sara Piersainvil, Sheironda Geffrard and Sashana Cherenfant.

On Saturday April 10th, 2021 Dodley peacefully passed away at Newark Beth Israel Hospital. He touched the lives of many people with his goofiness, selflessness and his life was dedicated to spreading love and his giant heart taught us to be better people. Dodley was an ultimate example of the scripture Hebrew 13:5-6, “God has said,” Never will I leave you; never forsake you” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid…”
