Elise Jacques Nazaire Obituary

Elise Nazaire was born on February 11, 1950, in Grand-Tilet, L’Artibonite, Haiti, to Marie Melissa Nazulme and Jacques Codio. Elise was raised in a family grounded in faith, integrity, and resilience.  She developed a strong commitment to perseverance, compassion, and service—values that defined her character and guided her personal and family life.

In 1970, Elise married her beloved husband, the late Delouis Nazaire. Their marriage was a cherished and meaningful part of her life, marked by love, partnership, and shared experiences. Together, they built a home and created lasting memories that remained central to Elise’s personal story and family legacy.

In 1981, Elise immigrated to the United States and settled in East Orange, New Jersey. This transition required significant strength, sacrifice, and faith as she began a new chapter in a new country. With determination and a deep commitment to her family, Elise overcame challenges with resilience and hope, reflecting her enduring desire to build a better future for those she loved.

Elise was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose family remained at the center of her life. She was blessed with six children: Marguerite Dalmacy, Roges Nazaire, Elizabeth Jules, Jackly Nazaire, Eveus Nazaire, and Jimmy Nazaire. Through her love, wisdom, faith, and strength, Elise left a lasting legacy that continues to live on through her children and family.

Elise warmly welcomed her sons- and daughters-in-law: Jonas Dalmacy, Daniel Jules, Lydia Francois-Nazaire, Nadege Nazaire, Anniqua Nazaire, and Toya Nazaire. As her family grew, she embraced each new member with love, kindness, and acceptance, extending the same devotion and warmth that defined her life and family legacy.

Elise was a beloved grandmother to Mayisha Dalmacy, Joanna Dalmacy, Jasmine Nazaire, Dahena Jules, Lorie Jules, Amber Dalmacy, Jayden Nazaire, Alexis Dalmacy, Zachary Nazaire, Michael Nazaire, Carter Nazaire, Logan Nazaire, Gabryelle Nazaire, Alisa Nazaire, Darien Nazaire, and Cameron Nazaire. She took great joy in seeing her family continue to grow across generations, and her grandchildren remain an important part of the enduring legacy of love, faith, and devotion she leaves behind.

Elise carried a special bond with her siblings throughout her life, holding close the family connections that began in Haiti and remained dear to her heart. She is lovingly remembered alongside her brothers and sisters, including Adieula, Janine, Gislaine, Paulete, Rodrique, Paul Hebert, Beatrice, and Delon.

Elise’s life was filled with family, perseverance, sacrifice, faith, and love. Her journey from Haiti to the United States was one of courage and hope, and everything she did reflected her deep devotion to her children, grandchildren, and the generations who will continue to carry her love forward. Her greatest accomplishments were found in the love she gave, the family she nurtured, and the sacrifices she made with a willing heart. Elise’s legacy lives on in the memories she created the lessons she shared, and the many lives forever touched by her kindness and strength.

Although Elise’s earthly journey has come to an end, her love remains deeply present in the hearts of those who knew her. Her children will remember her devotion, her grandchildren will carry her love with them, and her extended family and friends will continue to cherish the warmth and presence she brought into their lives. Elise Nazaire leaves behind a beautiful legacy—not only in the years she lived, but in the lives, she touched, the family she built, the sacrifices she made, and the love she shared. Her memory will remain alive through her family and through the cherished moments held close by all who knew and loved her.

Today, we celebrate Elise’s life.
We honor her memory.
We thank God for the time He allowed us to share with her.
And we hold close the love, lessons, and memories she leaves in our hearts.

Her journey on earth has ended, but her legacy of love will continue through her family for generations to come.

Forever Loved.

Forever Remembered.
Forever in Our Hearts

May we continue to honor Elise by living with the same love, strength, faith, and kindness that she so beautifully shared with each of us.
