Madame Elucienne BELZINCE was born on February 1, 1952 in the town of Haute-feuille, second rural section of the town of Dessalines in the department of Artibonite, from father Prévilus BELZINCE and mother Servilia NOEL. She is the eighth of nine children. She did her primary education at the national school in the same locality where she obtained her primary school certificate. After completing primary school, she first went to Gonaïves, where she began secondary studies at the Lycée des jeunes filles and subsequently in Port-au-Prince.
A few years later, she returned to the Couture Institute at Madame Edith's in the rue des Fronts-Forts where she stood out for her intelligence, perseverance and discipline. Winner of her promotion, she worked for some time as deputy director at her training school. Being an intelligent, disciplined girl with a strong character, Maitre Dessalines, the principal of the school entrusted her with the post of substitute teacher at the National School of Haute-Feuille.
Returning to Haute-Feuille a few years later, Mme BELZINCE set up her own sewing institute there where she gave sewing lessons to various young girls from the locality and neighboring areas and worked as a well-known professional seamstress for a long time. . She was also a very social person, close to people and very involved in various community activities. She had to leave the country in the early 1980s to try an experience abroad where she experienced ups and downs. She gave birth to three children including two daughters named Marie-Andrée and Verline and a boy by the name McKenzie.
Mrs. Elucienne BELZINCE, at the start of her forties, had to fight with all her strength and all her courage against several kinds of illness. But alas, she gave up fighting on her sixty-ninth birthday. So, chance makes things funny.
Peace to her soul and may the earth be light to her.
