Born on July 24, 1953, at Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Euphrosine Marie Douge (Fofo), the progeny of Mrs. Cecile Commis and Mr. Rossini Douge was the second sibling of six children: Rosine Davies, Euphrosine Douge, Maxime Douge, Rodini Douge, Judith Douge and Magalie Douge.
Euphrosine often stated how happy she was with many siblings. Emphasizing that she was always in a good mood because her mother maintained control of the household.
After graduating from high school, Euphrosine proceeded to attend Caldwell College where she received her bachelor’s degree in psychology.
Euphrosine served more than three years as a specialist in the U.S. Army as a helicopter technician. Thereafter, she continued her career working for the state of New Jersey as a social worker, earning many certifications for her excellent work in her field.
My dear Fofo was not only a wonderful wife and partner of over fifty years, but she was also a cheerful friendly person surrounded by many loving friends.
At this time, we acknowledge her positive impact on everyone that she met in her work, family and friends.
Euphrosine left a mark of goodwill that facilitated a future understanding between friends and family.
I will forever miss Fofo as I’m sure her family and friends will likewise miss her impact in their lives. I’m forever grateful that Fofo was a part of my life and the memories that we build together.
I’m sure Fofo is in a resting place, along with her loving mother and brother Rodini where she can assist all the angels.
