Frisner Joseph Edouard

Frisner Joseph Edouard, a devoted father, loyal husband, and hardworking family man, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026. He was 66 years old.

Born on November 26, 1959, in Kapaul, Haiti, to the late Hercule Edouard and Eumanne Gourdet, Frisner was raised with strong values of perseverance, responsibility, and quiet strength that guided him throughout his life. In 1979, he immigrated to the United States in search of opportunity and a better future.

Frisner made his home in New Jersey, living in both Irvington and Newark, where he built a life grounded in dedication and consistency. He was a faithful member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church.

In the early 1980s, he met the love of his life, Sylvana Sylvain, and they were married in the summer of 1983. Together, they shared over four decades of marriage and raised two beloved children, Jeffrey Edouard and Sylvie Edouard, whom he loved deeply.

A loyal and dedicated employee, Frisner spent many years working at Pella Windows and Doors, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment. Providing for his family was a source of pride, and he approached his responsibilities with humility and perseverance.

Frisner was a man of few words but a strong presence—kind, thoughtful, and dependable. He was a devoted father and husband. He enjoyed soccer and valued time spent with family above all else.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvana Edouard; his children, Jeffrey and Sylvie Edouard; and his siblings, Jesse Gourdet and Gustave Edouard. He was preceded in death by his brother and sister, Ernest and Edith Edouard.

Frisner’s legacy of loyalty, hard work, faith, and quiet love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
