Dear friends and family,
Today, we gather here to remember the life of Fritz Pierrilus, a man who made a significant impact during his time with us. Fritz was born on January 15, 1944, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. His parents were Immacule Pierrilus and Orabelle Henry, and he had three siblings: Manese Pierrilus, Solange Levine, and Wilfried Pierrilus. Fritz's life was a story of determination and hard work. He completed his high school education in Port-au-Prince and even attended a biblical seminary in Au Cap, Haiti, though he didn't finish his seminary studies. From a young age, his commitment to self-improvement and strong work ethic shone through. In the 1980s, Fritz took a life-changing step and moved to the United States in search of better opportunities. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family, and his proudest moment came in December 1999 when he managed to bring all his children to the U.S., ensuring they had the chance to live a better life. In 2007, Fritz retired from his demanding work with a dream of returning to live in Haiti during his retirement. Unfortunately, the difficult circumstances in Haiti prevented him from realizing this dream. Nevertheless, Fritz remained resilient in the face of adversity. In 2022, when he tragically lost his son, Fritz showed remarkable strength, hiding his grief from the world. It was during this period that his health began to decline, and in 2023, he was diagnosed with heart failure. Despite his illness, Fritz displayed tremendous courage, making multiple trips to the hospital. Fritz wasn't just a hardworking man; he also held strong values. He believed in qualities like respect and education and was always ready to offer advice to help others succeed. While his guidance could be strict, it was always driven by his genuine desire to see others do well. As we say our farewells to Fritz Pierrilus today, let's remember him as a loving father, a dedicated provider, and a mentor who believed in education and self-improvement. His legacy lives on through his children and all those he inspired to work hard and strive for a brighter future.
May Fritz's soul rest in eternal peace.
