General Pierre

"General Pierre, 71, was born on November 15, 1953, in Duclos, Haiti, and passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, after a battle with brain cancer surrounded by his loved ones.

In his early twenties, General immigrated to the United States in search of a better life for his family. Through hard work and perseverance, he built a life rooted in love, faith, and devotion. He worked tirelessly as a cab and later on as an Uber driver, providing for his family with unshakable dedication until his illness in April of this year. Though his days were long, his heart was always with his family. His greatest joy was being a husband, father, and grandfather. 

General was a man of deep faith, serving faithfully in his brother’s church and living each day as an example of humility, resilience, and love. To his grandchildren, he was affectionately known as “Daddyo” a grandfather whose presence meant warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. 

He is survived by his devoted wife, Marguerite Pierre, and their children: Genera Pierre and his wife, Mikerlange Pierre; Wisdom Pierre; and Kervens Pierre and his wife, Poursha. He was preceded in death by two of his beloved children, Jean-Renese Pierre and Abstenese Pierre.

General leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren: Winona P. Pierre, Gesiah Pierre, Faith M. Pierre, Wisdom Jr. A. Pierre, Jeremiah A. Pierre, Norie K. Pierre, Romello K. Pierre, Orlando J. Pierre, and Milani N. Pierre. His legacy also lives on through his surviving siblings: Almarie, Adylus, Marie Yolene, David, Florida, Emmanuel, Bernadette, Wilner, Lutha, Pierre Louis, Exantus, and Verlaine. He was preceded in death by his siblings Arnold, Iliomak, Alourde, and Matila. 

General Pierre will forever be remembered as a man who would walk on water for his family. His life was a reflection of sacrifice, devotion, and love…a legacy that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him. Forever in our hearts and memories he will remain."
