Guilano Pierrilus Obituary

My uncle, Guillano Pierrilus (Guyguy), the son of Fritz Pierrilus and Marie Simone Dauphin, born on November 20, 1981, in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.  My uncle immigrated to the United States with his mother and older siblings on December  25, 2000.  He completed his elementary and middle school education in Haiti.  In the year 2003, he completed his high school education in Irvington High School.  My uncle was very intelligent and excelled in everything he did.  After his graduation, he started his first job as a security officer, a year later he was hired by Continental Airlines and was incredibly excited about his new position with the airlines.  There, he met his girlfriend Caprice Shumate, the mother of his only daughter, Dream Pierrilus.

Uncle Guyguy is suddenly gone.  He had a lot left to accomplish and it is sad that he is no longer with us.  He always had big dreams, but did not really share his dreams and ideas with too many people.  However, today we should not focus on the grief, but instead, celebrate his life.  Uncle Guyguy was a wonderful man who loved life and would want us to celebrate all of his accomplishments today.   He was a person who stood by you no matter what.  He always had a positive mindset.

What I will remember most about my uncle is his great sense of humor, his jokes, his love for his family and friends, his kindness, sincerity, and his general belief that everyone is good and means well.  Uncle Guyguy was the person that I would always go to first with any news .  He was the person that I would laugh with, and the one with whom I celebrate.

My uncle lost his life far too soon.  His death was sudden, but his life was not  faint.  His memory will always be with us, and his legacy will continue through his daughter Dream.  Uncle Guillano cared and provided for his family.  He loved watching football, especially the New York Giants.  Loved playing and watching soccer, his favorite soccer team was the Brazil International team, he had a passion for music, and loved to dance.

Uncle Guillano was an amazing uncle, and a wonderful father to his daughter, Dream Pierrilus.  I know that going forward, life will be very difficult for our family without my uncle Guyguy in our lives.  However, I also know that my uncle would not want us to be overwhelmed with sadness.  Uncle Guyguy would be smiling if he was here with us today.  He would have a funny story to tell to make everyone feel more comfortable, and we would even for a moment forget our sadness.  He was a very strong and positive individual who would always look for the best in any situation, and in this situation would want us to do the same.  Let us all remember Uncle Guillano Pierrilus for all of his great qualities and appreciate the time we spent with him.  We all should ensure that his memory lives on in all of us for as long as we live.

I will miss my uncle dearly, but I am so grateful for having known him.

Thank you!
