Henri Wata Obituary

Henri Wata was born on August 01, 2000 to his parents, Marie M. Doliscat and Michelet Wata. His mother has played a central role in nurturing his creativity and confidence. His father has been a steady influence, encouraging his growth and determination. His joyful spirit, warm smile, and love of music made him unforgettable to everyone who crossed his path.

Henri was the second child of his mother, growing up in a large, loving family that shaped his world. He shared his life with five sisters — Josette Wata, Mirlande Wata, Michelande, and Victoire Wata and Jessica Wata — and six brothers — Claude Wata, Frantz Wata, Wagner Wata, Emile Wata, Rony Wata, and Jonathan Wata. Surrounded by aunts, uncles and cousins, and extended family, Henri was never without love, laughter, and companionship.

His family circle extended even further with three aunts — Edith Wata, Viergela Doliscat, and Victoire Doliscat — and three uncles — Deceres Wata, Edvard Jean, and Meres Doliscat. Each of them held a special place in Henri’s life, and his joyful presence brought warmth to every family gathering.

Henri began his education at Tiny Tarts School in Orange, where his curiosity and bright personality were already clear. He later attended Oakwood School Orange, continuing to grow into a lively, energetic young student. After moving to West Orange, Henri joined Hazel School, then Edison School for sixth grade, and later Roosevelt School for seventh and eighth, where he became known for his kindness, humor, and positive energy.

He went on to West Orange High School, where he truly shined. Henri worked hard, built strong friendships, and graduated with a high GPA, making his family incredibly proud. His determination and love of learning carried him forward to NJIT, where he began his college journey as an undecided major, excited to explore his interests and discover his path.

Music was one of Henri’s greatest loves. Whether he was listening, singing, or simply moving to a rhythm only he could feel, music brought out his brightest smile. He laughed easily and often — a warm, contagious laugh that made even ordinary days feel special.

Though his time here was far too short, Henri’s impact remains deep and lasting. He taught those who loved him the beauty of simple joy, the importance of laughter, and the power of a happy, loving heart. His memory continues to live in the music he cherished, the laughter he inspired, and the love he left behind.

Henri will forever be cherished — a bright soul whose happiness continues to echo in the lives of those who knew him.
