Hubert Bernadin Lamarre

It is an honor to celebrate today the life of a remarkable man. Hubert Lamarre, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving daughters, who he adored more than anything else in the world. Hurbert was born on August 8th, 1939, in Port-au-Prince, Belair. He was the 4th child of Edmond Lamarre and Suzanne Pierre.
He was a devoted husband, cherished father, and beloved grandfather, known for his positive personality trait, kindness, sense of humor, strong work ethic.
His most charming attribute was his character and personality. He was cordial, gentle, gracious, yet also confident, firm and strong. He embodied the essence of a true and loving family man. He was a true servant and a devoted Christian. Every Sunday, you could find him at St. Michael's Church with his wife and children. Hubert treated everyone with respect, love, kindness, and utmost compassion. He was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand.
Hubert found joy in music. He enjoyed listening to his 45 RPM vinyl records, speaking fondly of artists like Jazz Des Jeunes, Gerard Dupervil, Joe Jack, and many other amazing Haitian artists. He always carried himself with a certain elegance, his clothes were always part of his overall presence.
Hubert is survived by his children, Emmanuel Lamarre, Guerdy Lamarre, Yolette Lamarre, Nurva Oscar, and Patricia Lamarre; He is also survived by his many grandchildren, his sister Solange Ducasse, his son-in-law Nox Joseph and numerous nieces and nephews. We lost a great father, brother, uncle, and a friend. However, as Christians who believes in the Resurrection of Christ, we know this is not the end of Hubert’s journey. We have faith that we will see him again in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
