Imacule Philippe Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Imacula Philippe who departed this life on Monday, June 15, 2026, following a courageous battle with illness. She was a woman of unwavering faith, a devoted mother, and a cherished member of her community.

Her Life’s Journey: Born on October 2, 1946, in Croix-des-Missions, Haiti, Imacula was the beloved daughter of Kara Douze and Ciceron Philippe. Her roots remained deeply important to her throughout her life. While attending school in Couture, she embarked on the journey of motherhood. She was the proud mother of three children: Stanley Philippe, Jean Philippe, and Geraldine Veard.

Faith and Community: A woman of profound spiritual dedication, Imacula was a lifelong member of Mount Olive Church in Orange, New Jersey. She found great joy in the fellowship of her congregation and could be found there every Sunday, living out her faith through her service and presence. Imacula was known for her warm heart and her love for simple pleasures; she found deep satisfaction in the art of cooking, often using her culinary skills to bring family and friends together. Throughout her professional career, she served faithfully in the hospitality industry, a field she cherished until her health necessitated her retirement.

Family Legacy: Imacula’s greatest pride was her family. She was a supportive and loving sister to Jean Marck Philippe, Alberta Philippe, Guerda Philippe, Bizzert Philippe, Dedette Dorcely, Pami Boite, Bertrand Philippe, and Marie Perceval. She was also a doting grandmother to her three beloved grandchildren: Kamaree Iman Philippe, Kamal Philippe, and Jahamal Sanon. Her legacy of love will also be carried on by her many nieces and nephews, all of which she held dear.

Imacula’s strength, kindness, and devotion to her family and her faith have left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Though she has lost her battle with illness, her spirit remains a guiding light to those she leaves behind.
