Jean Semblay was born on March 21,1948 in Saint Marc, Haiti. He was the oldest son of Palmira Occeus and Prudent Semblay. He grew up in Haiti with his siblings and worked in agriculture with his family.
In 1982 he traveled to France where he met Cienne Semblay. They fell in love and married in 1985 before moving to the United States. Jean worked as a forklift driver for 12 years at Jencraft. Later on, he went to work as a cab driver for over 20 years before retiring in 2020. He was known as a hard-working provider and loyal husband. Those that were close to him knew him as Bouke or simply Blay. If you asked him what his greatest accomplishments was, he would say accepting God as his personal savior.
Jean was a son, brother, husband, grandpa, uncle, friend, provider and above all else an exceptional father. To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his loving children, grandchildren, family and friends.
