Jean D. Carmant

Jean Dantes Carmant was born on July 13, 1933 in Saint-Marc, Haiti to the parentage of the late Clelie Constant and Jerome Carmant (Deceased). He completed his elementary school at Les Freres Herve; then moved to Port-Au-Prince for high school; then graduated from G.B Damier. He left Haiti to immigrate to the United States in 1984, where he spent the rest of his life. “Dantes” known as “Boss Di” to his children and grandchildren was loved and cherished by all of us. For many he was known as “Boss Dantes”. He was a well-known carpenter in his time. While residing in the US, Dantes cared and provide for his family back home.

Dantes was a loving, strong, and independent man, who always made time to help his family and friends in time of need especially to his brothers and sisters: “Ulrick, Frank, Enock, Josephine, Cleante, Edith, Simone and Anna.”

Dantes was a fighter, despite being unable to walk or remember things that are precious to him, he kept on fighting and never gave up until he was called to be with the lord on July 23rd, 2023. He will be dearly missed by his family.

According to Psalm 90 v10, Jean Dantes Carmant lived life to the fullest and enjoy good days with his family. This is a special blessing. He leaves to cherish in his special memories: His Sons: Ducarmel and family, Dantes Jr and family, Alix and family, Emmanuel and family, David and family, Daniel and family, Gino Sandro and family, Serge and family, Peter and family, Davidson and family. His Daughters: Carmene and family, Glady’s and family, Kethy and family, Nerlande and family, Bethy and family, Gerda and family, Elizabeth and Family, Naika, Manette and family. Daphnee and family, Farah and family, Marie Carme, and Family. (Michelet, Claudy, Marie-Ange, Wesner all Deceased). Mr. Jean Dantes had (26) children, (56) grandchildren and (10) great-grandchildren.
