Born on March 14, 1963, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Jean Fequy Lazarre was raised in a Christian family by his parents, Marie Cécile Adélia Lazarre and Raoul Lazarre, both of whom preceded him in death. He was the second of three children, alongside his siblings Wilner and Paula Lazarre.
By God’s grace, Fequiere as you all know, was a gifted soul, a true genius with an early passion for electronics. While still in primary school, he created radio receivers using a piece of wood as a base and collected transistors, wires, converters, Transformers and other parts from broken radios, often sourced from family members and friends. He also fabricated small toy cars of all makes using food cans, ripped sandals, plastic, and whatever materials he could find.
Fequiere loved learning and excelled in every area of his education. He had a deep appreciation for editorials, poetry, literature, music, and the arts. He also enjoyed fine things in life, including elegant clothing and cars.
Jean Fequy Lazarre passed away suddenly on January 11, 2026, at the age of 62. He leaves behind his two beautiful twin daughters, Tamika Fekline Lazarre and Shamika Dee Feklina Lazarre, as well as his siblings, Wilner and Paula Lazarre.
Condolences to the Lazarre and Mertyl families, to all friends, and to everyone mourning this great loss. May God bless and comfort you all.
