Jeanne Bonnet Obituary

Jeanne D’Arc Bonnet was born on October 4, 1956, in Jérémie, in the commune of Moron, Haiti. She was the daughter of the late Franck and Antonine Bonnet. She received her early education in her hometown, where she later became a devoted teacher for many years at the Priestly School of Moron. In the 1980s, Jeanne emigrated to the United States with her mother and her first son, Angenau. She later became the proud mother of three more sons: Baguethy, Anthony, and Darkens, who held the most important place in her heart. Her daughter, Lourdes, later emigrated to the United States in 2000 to join Jeanne and live with her. A dedicated and hardworking woman, Jeanne often worked double shifts to provide for her family and ensure they lacked nothing. In 2011, she met Renaud Eugene, with whom she shared a loving marriage. He remained faithfully by her side until her final days. Jeanne was a fervent Christian who loved God deeply. She actively participated in her church's activities, showing unwavering faith and strength despite battling numerous illnesses with courage and grace. Jeanne could be described as an “Ambassadrice,” because her home was always open, welcoming family, friends, and even strangers who needed a place to stay or simply wished to enjoy her warm hospitality. In New Jersey, she was a cornerstone of her family, a trusted figure, and a source of inspiration and strength for all who knew her. Jeanne was a fan of soap operas and had a deep love for the holidays, especially when she could cook delicious meals for her family. She also had a great appreciation for music, dance, and all things cultural, bringing joy and vibrancy to every gathering. Jeanne, affectionately known as “Jajoune” or “Jeanna”, was deeply loved by her family and by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Generosity, sensitivity, and passion were among her most defining qualities. Throughout her time on this earth, she touched countless lives with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication. Her enthusiasm and commitment to others left a lasting impression wherever she went. Jeanne was the youngest in her family, following her late brother, Louis Marie Bonnet. She is survived by her loving husband, Renaud Eugene, and her four sons: Angenau Naval, Baguethy Bonnet, Anthony Demarais, and Darkens Bonnet. She also leaves behind her cherished daughter, Lourdes Naval-Tifaine. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Nazir Naval, Aaliyah Naval, Joy Naval, Angelise Naval, Elijah Naval, Elisha Naval, Naomi Naval, Kayla Hatten, Dante Bonnet, Zuri Bonnet, Samir Clark, Brielle Starling-Demarais, Frantzisca Tifaine, Schammah Tifaine, Zamar Tifaine, and Shekhinah Tifaine. She is also mourned by her daughter-in-law, Merista Naval; her son-in-law, Frantz Tifaine; her nieces and nephews; her cousins; and many dear friends and loved ones whose lives she deeply touched. Thank you, Jeanne, for your generous heart, your boundless love, and the joy you brought into our lives. You were a light among us, and your faith continues to inspire us. We rest in the blessed hope that we will see you again in God’s eternal kingdom, where there will be no more pain, no more tears—only everlasting joy in His presence. Rest in the peace of the Lord, dear Jajoune. We love you, and we will never forget you. Until we meet again.
