Obituary/Biography

December 16, 1958 – November 16, 2020

Jesula Sylvain, 61, died on Monday, November 16, 2020, at her home, apparently of a heart attack in Irvington, New Jersey. Jesula was born on December 16, 1958, in Chevreau Lombard, commune of Grande Saline, Haiti, her father from Israel Sylvain and her mother Phylomène Dyel. In her lifetime, she worked in agriculture with her father in Haiti before entering the United States of America. On March 5, 1983, Jesula came to the United States to reside with her older brother Dyel Sylvain. She had joined her lover Dieudonne Dorvilma in the United States. She was engaged and married to a man she loved so much.

Five years later, she gave birth to a daughter named Dieusula Dorvilma whom she loved so compassionately. She found jobs in different sectors so that she could raise her daughter well with dignity. She loved to cook, clean, sing with the group within the Church congregation. She loved Almighty God Jesus Christ and firmly believed through Him comes salvation. She faithfully attended church every Sunday.

Jesula spent all of her time surrounded by her family and friends. She liked to help the less fortunate by sending her funds and collecting from her brothers, sisters, cousins, and giving them to relatives of her parents in Haiti, etc.

Jesula lived “the length of her life is less than seventy years” (Psalm 90:10 VIN) a short and joyful life, with her health problems. Unfortunately, on November 16, 2020, Jesula had called home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ.

The funeral of Mrs. Jesula Sylvain will be on Friday December 4, 2020 at 9:00 A.M Martin at the Catholic Church of East Orange N J Corner Main Street and North Clinton Street.
