Joseph Andre Deus, best known as “Andre”, beloved father, son, brother, and friend was born on March 2, 1959, to the late Elius Deus and Evanie Jolimac in Delmas, Haiti. While growing up in this small town in Haiti, he went to school and got his education. Andre migrated to the United States in 1985 and first resided in Miami, Florida, and went out to live in New York City, and then settled in Elizabeth New Jersey. He was a long-time member of Church of God of Bethesda and was baptized by Pastor Marc Mertyl in 1991.
Andre was a hard-working man who worked tirelessly day and night to always provide for his family. He was well known and loved by all of his coworkers at White Rose corporation, where he dedicated 20 years of his life to the company. He then went on to be a dedicated bus driver for the Durham School Bus Company and he was loved by all the children which he transported.
Andre has 5 beautiful children Judith, Ansy, Jonathan, Moses, and Nathaniel that he loved and cherished with all of his heart. He was loved for his generous heart, great attitude and his love for anyone that he came across. He was the most selfless, loving, kind, funny, respectful, intelligent, compassionate, patient and confident person you would ever meet. Hed had a love for music and loved his sports, especially basketball.
On November 16, 2023, Joseph Andre Deus was called home to be with his lord and savior Jesus Christ. He was diagnosed with liver failure and spent his last days at University Hospital. During the last few days and hours of his life he was surrounded by his sons and family. Although he is no longer with us on earth, we know that he is rejoicing in heaven. Andre is predeceased by his father Elius Deus and sister Savenie. He leaves behind his mother Evanie Jolimac, his wife Filise Loveus, his siblings Rene, Yolette, Yolen, Renaoud and Rodrique. His five beautiful children Judith, Ansy, Jonathan, Moses, and Nathaniel Deus. His four grandchildren Princess, Aiden, Alonzo and Jennifer. He will be greatly missed by and leaves behind his best friend Jean Marc, many aunts and uncles, an abundance of nieces and nephews, cousins and all of his friends. Andre was the true definition of a good and faithful servant. His legacy lives on forever. May he rest in eternal peace.
