Joseph Clement Joachim, a life-long resident of Elizabeth, NJ died peacefully on December 11, 2020 at the age of 77 while on vacation in Haiti.
Clement is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Gem Morris; his sisters, Eva Joachim, Elina Joachim; his children, Jocelyn Nazaire, Suzette Hobbs, Clement Joachim Jr; his son/daughter in law, Fabrice Nazaire, Vanessa Walker; his grandchildren, Jason Nazaire, Brice Nazaire, Matthew Nazaire, Aaron Nazaire, Tyrone McAllister, Eboni McCall, Nateyah Bland, Christian Joachim, Nomia Rose Joachim; his nieces/nephews,

Clement was born in Fovo, “Cabaret”, Haiti on December 13, 1942 to Pierre Joachim and Imerante Louis Cherie. Young Clement enjoyed playing soccer as well as singing in a jazz band. Graduated school in Haiti and travelled to the United States in 1969. His first job entering the states was called ‘Watson Metals’ until he was on his own. Many people know him as a fighter who gets what he wants. He owned and operated ‘Thaly Tropical Food’ in Elizabeth where many people have grown to love him. He went on to operate his own Limousine Company called ‘Joseph Limo” for over 10yrs. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
